1. Powerful Planetary Gear Drive Motor
Drive has planetary gear drive motor capable of opening even the hardest to open grain chutes. We guarantee that if you can turn it with manual crank the drive can turn it. 10 years of infield customer use proves it.
2. Built-in Limiting Switches
Each drive is equipped with easy to adjust limiting switches. One for full open and one for full closed. Drive automatically shuts off at the end of travel and a light on the drive comes on to show the chute is fully opened or closed. Green light means full closed red light means full open. See pictures to the right

- Limit switches extend service life of all components by eliminating unnecessary stress on drive and chute components when chute reaches the end of travel.
- Anyone can safely operate system because the auto shut off protects drive and components from hitting the stops at each end of the chute This is especially useful for new operators or elevator agents unloading trailer.
- Unit can be operated from a distance because the auto shut off means the operator does not have to watch chute. This allows the operator to safely operate drive from a safe distance away from augers and dust or from on top of air seeder or grain bins where he cannot see the chute.
- Limit switches also turn on the fully open and closed lights located on each drive.
3. Built To Last
All components of the GT 3100 chute system are built for sever operating conditions common with grain trailer operation. Features include:
- Drive motor and planetary gears are designed with enough power to open the biggest chutes under the worst conditions. This added power increases the reliability and service life under normal operating
- Oversized bearings and shafts are used throughout to insure long service life.
- Heavy duty plastic drive casing. Drive is housed in a plastic case to eliminate rusting and protect internal drive components from sever operating conditions common with grain trailer operation. This reduces weight and prevents rusting from fertilizer and road salt.
- Over load protection
- Should the chute become seized the drive is protected from damage three different ways. See features 4 for details.
4. Over Load Protection
Should the chute become seized the drive is protected from damage.
- • Circuit breaker in the control panel and will shut off power to any drive should draw exceed 100 amps. Drives are capable of up to 150 amps draw before stalling.
- Drives are designed to stall for a limited time without damage.
- Quick release pin also acts as a shear pin should continuous overloading occur.
5. Manual Override
A quick release pin connects the hollow tube drive to the manual crank. Operator can override the electric drive and use the manual crank at anytime by simply pulling the quick release pin on the drive.
6. Manual & Remote Operation
Every system comes with a receiver and wireless remote transmitter to operate the drives.
The drives can also be operated with a manual switch as well. These are on the control box that you mount in a convenient location on the trailer.
7. Easy To Install
The drive system will work on any grain trailer chute that has a manual crank. Installation features:
- Universal hollow tube drive slides over existing manual crank. Additional mounting brackets provided to bold other side of drive to cross member on trailer.
- No welding required on trailer.
- If you replace the trailer, the unit can be taken off in minutes and reinstalled on new trailer.
8. Control Panel
Control panel mounts and stays with trailer. Any tractor unit can be used because essential wiring stays on trailer at all times. Installation is easy and a minimum amount of wire is exposed on the trailer.
9. Heavy Duty Sealed Outer Case
Plastic case is strong enough to withstand the elements and protect internal components. This insures years of trouble free service. Stainless steel bolts hold the case together. Outer case can be removed in minutes to expose internal components if service is required.
10. Built-in Receiver and Antennae
Receiver and antennae are inside control panel. They are well protected and in close proximity to the drives they control. This provides excellent transmitter to receiver reception and maximum operating distance.
11. Built-in Circuit Breaker
A 100 amp self resetting circuit breaker is included and shuts off power to receiver and drives if drives become overloaded for any reason.
12. Master On/Off Switch
The master on/off switch is on the control panel. It shuts off power to the drives, so accidental or unauthorized operation cannot occur.
13. Chute Open and Closed LED Indicator Lights
Each drive chute has two corresponding LED indicator lights on the front of the drive. A green light comes on when chute is fully closed and a red light comes on when chute is fully open. This provides a simple fail safe way for operator to confirm that the chutes are fully closed or open from a distance, such as on top of air seeder or grain bin, night or day.
